For Bayerische Motoren Werke AG, or “BMW” , the German multinational manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, I helped to maintain and extend the global BMW site.
As UX Designer for interone I was part of an international team in charge of making sure that a consumer’s visit on the global BMW site was held in the delicate balance between guided and free exploration.
Backend car configuration processes
The European ordering system we were maintaining required accessing dozens of databases and retrieving the right country-specific information, but nobody had a plan of the complete architecture underneath the UX flows. To enable the team to create a seamless car configuration order process in the front, I researched and created these overviews on how data flows into the site when a BMW site user assembles an order.
Site management and feature extension concepts
Consumers want to successfully navigate through the often complex options to select and purchase their perfect BMW. To make sure every detail necessary to create user experience scenarios would make it into production, the wireframes in this project were particularly detailed and descriptive.
